About Ahmed

Ahmed came to the real estate industry with a valuable Architectural background. After completing his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, he attended McGill University to complete a Masters in Architecture. Between 2011 and 2016, he researched and wrote his PhD in Architecture Building Technology at TU Delft in Netherlands. His studies led him to think about building performance in different ways—from material and construction methods through to post construction maintenance.

After completing his PhD, he worked as an architectural designer in the Bay area in California, Vancouver and Victoria where he was exposed to the real estate industry in North America and decided to focus his career on real estate, carrying over his broad range of architectural knowledge into the real estate industry.

Ahmed believes that the worlds of real estate and architecture are not so far removed apart. For a real estate agent, a background in architecture can be a significant asset for working with clients and can make a world of difference to keen clients.

Ahmed background and education has allowed carry valuable skills to his clients including, paying attention to special details, having a deep understanding and appreciation of a property’s style, design and spatial features, and having an eye for changes that could be made to increase the aesthetic and financial value of a property. This becomes a valuable skill especially right now, as there’s a limited inventory of houses, and it’s a seller’s market.
